Microsoft has resolved a Windows 11 issue that prevented non-administrator users from establishing Remote Desktop connections to devices with Administrator protection enabled. The fix arrived in the October 28, 2026, non-security preview update, KB5127936, which updates Windows 11 versions 25H2 and 26H2 to builds 26200.9818 and 26300.9818, respectively.
